Saturday, July 12 2008:

Seconds Out's fighter, Matt "The Predator Vanda (36-7, 21 KOs) gave Julio César Chavez Jr (37-0-1, 29 KOs) all he could handle on Saturday night in Hermosillo, Mexico. Vanda's toe-to-toe style seemed to be way to much for Chavez in the late rounds. Chavez, who squeaked out the close and controversial split decision, looked totally gassed in the final three rounds of the fight and was brought to the hospital for evaluation after the contest ended. Chavez, received the split decision victory with scores of 97-93 Chavez, 96-95 Vanda, and a "laughable" 100-90 for Chavez.

The ringside fans threw glasses of beer and ice into the ring in annoyance over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.'s contentious decision. Even the Legendary Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. was booed by the crowd as he left the ring.

"We had to be escorted out of the arena and back to our hotel by the military because of all of the rioting that was going on after the fight." - Said Ron Lyke, Trainer.
